Summer 2016 is set to be one of the best gaming seasons yet, there’s a multitude of media out to help you while away the summer days. We had a brief look at some of the new games, so you don’t have to!
Pokemon Go
Everyone has this. Even your grandparents have this game. It aims to bring back the nostalgia of the cartoon to the twenty-something adults that spend all of their time inside. It’s got people talking, moving and excited. The BBC are saying Pokemon GO is a breakthrough game and it seems that we are set to see much more of this in the near future. It uses GPS on your mobile phone, so anyone can use it any time or any place. You should try and catch ‘em all!.
Uncharted 4
Available on PS4 and just released in May. It’s not quite as easily accessible as Pokemon Go, but it’s worked up a storm with its release. It has been named the best PS4 game of the year so far by Metacritic. It unleashes the player into a world of jungles and cities with a well thought out and engaging story line for its lead character; Nathan Drake. Just from the trailer you can see how the PS4’s advanced graphics has made a difference in this game – they have made room for immense detail and have not passed up on the chance to create something beautiful. Action packed and emotionally provoking – you shouldn’t miss this game this summer.
Monkey King Slots
Betsson have released some new slot games on their Casino Euro website for the summer. A little bit of thrill from the bet, coupled with some really cool karate monkey animations will help you pass the time this summer. Online betting has quickly replaced the convention of using the machines in the pub or going to the bookmakers after work – this you can do from your sofa or at work; at your own convenience. All the while, being entertained by their cute monkey game hosts.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The Lego games are all wonderful, filled with humour and heart for people of any age. The Force Awakens was released on the 28th of June this year and the deluxe edition was only available at game. Many people love this game because they love Star Wars too; it’s a good way for whole families to interact with the franchise. The game keeps the authenticity of the films, using all of the original characters. They even bring in the creativity of building Lego, and let you make your own constructions to solve problems, within the game.
There’s a whole host of games available to you and your family this summer and the variation is immense. The ones that we have shown are just the tip of the iceberg – set to come out in August we have F1 2016, Deus Ex – Mankind Divided and World of Warcraft: Legion. It’s going to be a good year.
