Stark’s really in trouble this time. As if it’s not bad enough that he got murdered by that hack Audsley Ishii, he wakes up in a remote part of Hell without any weapons or any real clue where he is.
That’s when it gets worse. He runs into a group calling themselves the Havok, led by a zealot they call The Magistrate. They’re caravaning across Hell with a motley assemblage of bikers, murderers and Hellions, pulling a mobile gallows and a mysterious covered object. The object is huge, and it obviously has something to do with what the Havok is looking for.
Another great addition to the Sandman Slim series, The Kill Society gives us another part of Stark’s crazy journey. It’s the 9th book in the series, and it’s a series that just keeps getting better and better. There’s been rumblings that it’s also going to get a big screen treatment from Studio 8. Definitely looking forward to that. Wonder who they’ll cast?
If you’ve not read any of the series, it’s best to start at the beginning. Otherwise, you’ll miss a lot of the character nuance and humor. It’s a series well worth investing the time into.
