Breaking Bad Movie?
Although most agree the ending of the six season run of Breaking Bad was thrilling and satisfying, creator Vince Gilligan wants to give us more. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gilligan is working on a two-hour movie (theatrical? AMC?) and the in-the-works production has a working title of Greenbrier.
This was confirmed earlier today by Bryan Cranston, when he called into The Dan Patrick radio show and confirmed Gilligan is working on it, but he has not seen a script yet. More intriguingly, he could neither confirm nor deny that Walter White would even be in the story. He said he didn’t know what the timeline would be, so we are left to speculate – follow up to Breaking Bad, or a sort of prequel that would run time-wise parallel to the current Better Call Saul?
Gilligan is invested in this world and has done wonders fleshing out the story of Jimmy McGill, so we have high hopes for this. One thing though, if this is the pre-cancer pre-meth warm up to the BB story, and we say this with love, it might take a team from Industrial Light and Magic to make Aaron Paul look fresh out of highschool again.
