In shocking news, that I don’t think anyone was prepared for, both John Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis have announced her return to the franchise that launched her career and made her a horror legend. 40 years later, Laurie Strode is back.
Fans may remember Laurie Strode met her supposed demise 15 years ago in 2002’s oft-maligned Halloween: Resurrection, but, it seems like this new film is going to take place after part 2 and essentially (and in some cases unfortunately) ignores or flat out erases everything that came next.
John Carpenter executive producing (and most likely scoring), Jamie Lee Curtis starring, and one long year to wait.
The new Halloween film, as far as I know only known as Halloween currently, is being written by David Gordon Green (who is directing) and Danny McBride and will be released, as promised on penalty of beheading by Jason Blum, on October 19, 2018!
I can’t even wait.
