London has had some very real problems lately but a fun new fake scare is always welcome. More formidable than a Cockney cabbie, easier to believe than Brexit, it’s Jurassic Kingdom. Go face to face with herds of huge motorised dinosaurs that menace and roar at anyone who comes too close.
The animatronic beasts are living in Osterley Park – far west London – as part of the family-friendly attraction, which opens tomorrow, April 1.
Palaeontologist Dean Lomax said: “These are the most lifelike dinosaurs you are likely to encounter since the Mesozoic era.” Not sure how anyone but the Saturday morning scientists from Land of the Lost could prove him wrong, but a fun day off the usual tourist trail is surely on tap.
I’ve been told some of the dinosaurs actually spit, so bring those plastic covers from the last Gallagher show and head out before April 17, when the creatures travel to Birmingham, Blackpool, Glasgow and Leeds.
