Best Gaming Consoles 2017
Number Five – Nintendo Switch
Nintendo’s Switch is a great offering for the casual gamer, or for the family multiplayer. This consoles 2 in 1 option is a very interesting feature, you can plug in and play on your TV or slide out the body of the console to take your games out of the home.
The main focus of this console is multiplayer but the often ignored home based multiplayer, with friends and family rather than online. But it still does have online multiplayer features available.
This console is unfortunately not backwards compatible but offers a unique gaming experience with some great new single and multi player games; just like River Belle online casino, but in a different way!
Number Four – Nintendo 3DS XL
Nintendo is the undisputed king of the handheld console, with its DS being popular for years the 3DS improves on this great console.
Its brilliant library has first party titles like Pokémon, Mario and Zelda, it also has great third party games. And with its backwards compatibility with last generation games, the gaming is nearly endless. Another great improvement is the unique stereoscopic 3D technology, which solves the problem from before of having to hold your head still while playing.
The new larger screens are wonderful but can be a little heavy in the hand after a while, and not great for kid’s hands.
Number Three – Microsoft Xbox One X
I have put this in a spot behind the Xbox One S, only because it is not yet released…things could change.
The Xbox One X is reported to be so powerful that it can replace the need for hardcore gamers to build their gaming PCs from scratch, that’s big boasting from Sony. The Xbox One X will feature the most advanced hardware of any console to date, with 2 more teraflops of processing power than the PS4 Pro GPU. And it now has 12GB of RAM, 4 more than the PS4 standard.
It also features a 4K Blu-Ray player, multimedia streaming and backwards compatibility, just like the Xbox One S but is more expensive and you still need to subscribe to the Xbox services.
Number Two – Microsoft Xbox One S
The latest video game console from Microsoft has proven to be a great improvement on its previous consoles. The reduced size of this console is one of the main obvious changes but it has other great improvements as well. With its internal power supply and 4K capabilities make this gaming console the best offer for people looking for a great all round gaming and multimedia playing at a reasonable price.
The Xbox One S can play the latest AAA games, stream shows via Netflix, has 4K HDR, plays Blu-Rays and is half the price of the Xbox One X.
Number One – Sony PlayStation 4 Pro
The PlayStation 4 Pro reminds us why Sony has been at the top of the gaming console industry since its first released PlayStation in the 90’s.
The redesigned DualShock 4 controller is shipped with the console, and s now considered one of the best gamepads designed to date. The other notable improvement is the game library, now offering 4K gaming, with reports saying that it has the best collection of AAA, indie and imported games that is unbeaten by other consoles in the market.
The last exciting offer from the PlayStation 4 Pro is its ability to support Virtual Reality headsets, an exciting advance that is highly entertaining.
The PlayStation 4 Pro is definitely the current best plug and play console on the market.
