Today marked the announcement of the 2017 Emmy Nominations and there were some definite surprises. Stranger Things landed four nominations (Drama, Supporting Actress, Guest Actress, and Supporting Actor). New pop culture phenom The Handmaid’s Tale also came in strong with an Outstanding Drama and Actress nomination for Elizabeth Moss. Modern Family got its umpteenth nomination for Best Comedy Series. I’m super stoked to see RuPaul’s Drag Race to get recogition in Best Reality Show, Best Unstructured Reality Show (along with another favorite Gaycation), and Best Reality Host, which RuPaul won last year.
