Abe and Joanna are out at their favorite restaurant one evening, when they meet a most singular young woman: Lioness Lazos. She’s their waitress, and they find out she’s been living in the back of the restaurant with nowhere to go. They ask her if she wants to stay in Abe’s garage; it has plenty of room, can be easily converted, and they have a space heater.
They had no idea their lives would be inexplicably changed from that moment on.
Beagle is a master of fairytale, deftly creating a gossamer magic on the page. Summerlong is a tale that merges classic myth with modern storytelling. Absolutely beautiful. Saying anything more would give away the story, and I’d never want to ruin such a lovely read for anyone.
JL Jamieson is a strange book nerd who writes technical documents by day, and book news, reviews, and other assorted opinions for you by night. She is working on her own fiction, and spends time making jewelry to sell at local conventions, as well as stalking the social media accounts of all your favorite writers.
