Today gets us one day closer to the December 15, 2017 release of Star Wars, Episode VIII. While there is still no trailer yet, the name of the film has been released. Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
The announcement states that this is the next film in the Starwalker saga, which hints strongly that Luke will be the major player. Is that what’s really in store? Who knows. We’ll have to keep guessing until the trailer is released. Will that be May the Fourth? Will it be when the next Disney movie opens, as the franchise was recently purchased by Disney? Or will it drop during the next “Star Wars Celebration” happening the middle of April?
Who knows, but stay tuned to us, and as soon as we get the news and trailer, we’ll be sharing it with you!
THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
