Last night in Hollywood Rooney performed a secret show to premiere their new music video for “My Heart Beats 4 U.” The band, fronted by Robert Schwartzman, rocked the Hollywood bar for a little over an hour playing a lot of their hits a few songs off of their upcoming album Washed Away.
Directed by Kevin Flynn, the video for Rooney’s “My Heat Beats 4 U” was really well done and featured Robert Schwartzman playing every band member and person in the video. It was a funny music video and reminded me of the older Foo Fighters videos. I’ll post the video once it officially releases. In the mean time, check out the extremely catchy song below and just try not to sing it all day:
Weezer’s own Brian Bell jumped on stage last night to play guitar during “My Heart Beats 4 U.” Schwartzman, Bell, and the rest of the band had a blast jamming out to this kick ass new single.In addition to”My Heart Beats 4 U,” Rooney played “All the Beautiful People,” “Why,” and “Washed Away” from the new album. These new songs wove seamlessly into the other Rooney hits and I’m happy to report that the new songs have that same classic Rooney sound you know and love.
I know it seems crazy that I’m reviewing a secret show, but fear not because Rooney is performing a few upcoming shows later this May. Dates Below:
