Nintendo launches its seventh video game home console with the latest Nintendo Switch. This latest console is already making waves in the electronic gaming market with more than 4.7 million units since its launch in March 2017. The Nintendo Switch was preceded by the Nintendo 3DS and Wii which were smashing hits too. However, the Wii U was a let-down, considered to be one of the worst-performing consoles of the company.

The Nintendo Switch marks the brand’s return to the game with some stellar features. The famous Japanese video game company’s launch of the Nintendo Switch gives some serious competition to the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One. Hybrid console for players on the go

The star feature of the Nintendo Switch is its hybrid console that allows players to use it as a home console as well as a handheld gaming device. Just like the PlayStation 4 and the Microsoft Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch can be inserted into the docking station to function as a home console. Video Games often get players so hooked to it that they are stationed before the TV for hours together. But if you don’t want to stay put before the TV the entire day in neglect of your daily routine, you can remove it from the dock and play on the go with the LCD touchscreen. The hybrid console offers flexibility and accessibility for players on the go.

Enhanced gaming experience with the Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch console offers one of the best gaming experience with every video game. Game developers are taking to the hugely positive response for the console and are developing game versions for the Nintendo Switch. Ultra Street Fighter II is one such game that has launched a new version for the Switch console. The rebooted version of this 90’s classic was an instant hit with over 450,000 copies sold. The highly acclaimed Skyrim which originally debuted in 2011 is touted to get a revamp for Nintendo’s latest console. Set to release in the latter half of this year, this has sent fans of both Nintendo and Ultra Street Fighter II into a frenzy.

Features of the Nintendo Switch

Players can get a better gaming experience with any game on this 6.2 inch, 1280 x 720 pixels screen. The unit also houses a Game card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Memory card slot. The console comes with two Joy-Cons that come handy in multiplayer games. The Joy-Cons are the usual fare with directional keys and a joystick. The joystick is a little short when compared to other gaming consoles like the Xbox. The right controller includes an NFC reader and an IR motion camera. The controllers are really light and weigh less than 0.1 pounds each and are easy to carry while playing on the go. The controllers also support motion control.
