Legion spoiler warning

We see that David’s sister is being threatened with torture by The Eye, but who knows what questions she can actually answer?

Melanie and the Summerland mutants figure they need to be a little more proactive in trawling through David’s memories, and they go into one that carries a lot of emotion–the scene we saw of David in the kitchen as everything explodes out of the cupboards and flies around him. His girlfriend had just broken up with him. They learn that he has at least a few powers, and one of them is telekinesis.

As they push through the memory, we see the Demon with the Yellow Eyes again, but David–and not the others–can see him. I think this might be establishing that the Demon is part of David’s madness, and not an actual memory? Either way, David is freaked out. As they all wake up, they find that David has teleported them outside of the memory room.

Later, we see that Amy’s interrogation is progressing, and her interrogators figure that she knew that David wasn’t really sick.

At the same time, the Summerland mutants are trying another brain scan, and while we see some weird and disturbing thoughts of David running around during Halloween (complete with a life size Angriest Boy), we also see David connecting with Amy. He shorts out the exam room in his distress, and for a moment teleports himself and Syd to where The Eye is holding Amy. He quickly brings them out again, but his aim is a bit off, and dumps them both in the lake.

Melanie suggests sedating David to keep him calm while they go into his mind again, and he tells Syd he doesn’t want anything she might see to scare her off.

Determined, she goes in anyway. This time she sees the Demon when he shows up, and in a panic her and David both run from the memory. She manages to escape the memory along with Ptonomy and they both wake up, while Melanie seems a bit caught. Melanie has some scary interaction with the Angriest Boy book and the Demon lunges, and she wakes as well. David, however, remains trapped in his mind.
