You might have missed it, understandable as it was quietly dropped to streaming over the holidays, but now you get the perfect opportunity to see Camille Griffin’s superb film Silent Night on Blu-ray.
Details below:
Marking writer Camille Griffin’s feature directorial debut, SILENT NIGHT features an all-star ensemble cast includingKeira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise), Matthew Goode (Downton Abbey), Roman Griffin Davis(Jojo Rabbit), Annabelle Wallis (“Peaky Blinders”), Lily Rose-Depp (Voyagers), Ṣọpé Dìrísù (“Gangs of London”),Kirby Howell-Baptiste (“The Good Place”), Lucy Punch(Into the Woods), Rufus Jones (”Flack”) and Trudie Styler(Filth, Moon).
In SILENT NIGHT, Nell and Simon have invited their closest friends to join their family for Christmas dinner at their idyllic home in the English countryside. As the group comes together, it feels like old times – but behind all of the laughter and merriment, something is not quite right. The world outside is facing impending doom, and no amount of gifts, games or Prosecco can make mankind’s imminent destruction go away. Surviving the holidays just got a lot more complicated.
Bonus features on the DVD and Blu-ray include:
- Deleted & Extended Scenes
- Alternate Endings
Silent Night is not a film for everyone. It’s a dark comedy with touches of horror dealing with the impending end of the world so if you are looking for light-hearted merriment, you won’t find it here. Instead, you’ll find a wickedly entertaining, expertly crafted film that delivers a plethora of emotions and a top notch cast.
I didn’t get around to making a Top 10 list this year but you can bet Silent Night would certainly be on it. Well worth your time and money to watch it.
Silent Night is available now!
