imagesA University mathematics genius, Peter Backus, discovered a mathematical equation that calculated our chances of finding love, and found the ratio to be only one in 285,000. While those odds sound pretty grim, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t ways to create your own luck in love and put the odds in your favor.

It can’t just be a coincidence that some people seem to have tons of luck in love. Take an active stance on your love life and don’t leave it in the hands of fate. Here is some great advice for tipping the odds in your favor and not leaving love life entirely up to chance.

  1. Feel Good About Yourself

You are what you think, so mind what you’re thinking. If you have a pessimistic attitude about love and your chances of being successful, the likelihood of you reaching your goals is going to be affected. Know in your heart that love will find you when the time is right, and always keep yourself open to the possibility. Feel like a winner no matter what’s happening at the moment. You create your future.

  1. Do Things Differently

If you find yourself stuck in a routine, doing the same thing over and over again with no results, it’s probably time to change your game. Step outside of your comfort zone and find activities that will put you into contact with new people. The change doesn’t have to be extreme. If you like to run, try going to a different part of town or a new park to run in. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a solo trip on your own, you never what (or who) you may find!

  1. Go Online – Take a Gamble

The internet is an incredible place these days and can open you up to a world of opportunities. When referring to online gambling we’re not talking about online casino games, take an online gamble in love. Sign up for a dating site and invest some time in seeing what’s out there if you’re having trouble. Dating comes in all different shapes and forms these days and going online could be first step in the right direction.

  1. Stay Positive

Keeping a positive outlook in life is important no matter what, but when it comes to finding that special someone you need to try and stay positive and not dwell on the little things. Maybe you went on a date and the person you were with was incredibly rude to the waiter (or even to you)! Don’t let it get you down. Each bad experience means you’re one step closer to the person you’re truly supposed to be with.

In love and relationships try to be that person who sees the glass half full. Positivity is going to be your ally when it comes to getting the odds on your side in love. Believe in yourself!
