It’s been 4 long years since we last saw the doomed love triangle between girl, vampire and werewolf. During its run over the release of all 5 feature length installments, the ‘Twilight’ saga became a phenomenal success managing to continue and build the franchise as it jumped from book form into its big screen adaptation. Based on the popular series of novels by author Stephenie Meyer it was the perfect movie fodder for lovelorn teens to lap up giving them a chance to pick their favorite buff beast by siding with either Team Edward or Jacob. The franchise has gained a huge following and is already responsible for so many spin-offs and even inspiring games like Immortalromanceslot.net. But for all the success and rewards that being part of the franchise gave many of its stars how and where did they wind up once the ‘Twilight’ gravy train stopped?
KRISTEN STEWART
Despite a bit of unwanted media attention, mostly thanks to her extra curricular activities outside of her relationship with fellow ‘Twilight’ co-star Robert Pattinson, actress Kristen Stewart has managed to maintain a steady flow of roles since playing the beloved Bella in the hit franchise. She’s certainly a unique talent and not an actress that would easily be pigeonholed or typecast. Stewart has since gone on to star in a number of more independent and subdued releases rather than heading straight back into any big box office outings, which is a choice that certainly suits her acting style. But it is nice to see a leading lady thinking carefully about which projects she feels most comfortable being involved with for a change instead of diving straight into potential roles that are simply offered to cash-in on her popularity at the time.
ROBERT PATTINSON
British star Pattinson was once every tweens dream heartthrob and he was definitely a star who could very easily have slipped right into a series of similar romantic roles in the future. Thankfully however the now 30 year old actor has been carefully selecting an impressive array of roles working alongside notable directors and stretching his acting muscles. He has successfully managed to quite quickly outgrow that romantic leading man persona and has been gaining plaudits along the way as he continues to sink his teeth into more grittier and meatier characters.
TAYLOR LAUTNER
Finishing off the bizarre ‘Twilight’ love triangle was actor Taylor Lautner who quite frankly out of the three has been having the more difficult time in solidifying himself in Hollywood. Since his last outing in ‘Breaking Dawn’ Lautner has only managed to scrape together a few credits including an unusually out of character role in Adam Sandler’s rather lackluster Netflix comedy ‘The Ridiculous 6’. Since then he has landed a recurring role in the later seasons of popular British sitcom ‘Cuckoo’ alongside ‘The Inbetweeners’ star Greg Davies and more recently landed the role of Dr Cascade in Fox’s comedy horror series ‘Scream Queens’.
