Unusual Site to Visit: Peacekeeper Missile Alert Facility

Approximately 30 miles north of Cheyenne, WY lies a most unusual museum and time capsule. At the Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility, you can tour the only location dedicated to a now-defunct missile alert system and Cold War interpretive center. Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility State Historic Site, offers visitors the opportunity to see a military installation that was “hidden in plain sight” and controlled one of the most destructive nuclear weapons ever built by the United States. Delve into the daily lives of missileers, topside personnel, missile technology, the Cold War and the deactivation of this missile system.

Hours are 0900-1700 (or 9am-5pm) Tuesday-Saturday, and tours leave promptly at 0900 until 1630.
– Reservations will no longer be required (but, you are still welcome to call or message ahead if you’d like!).
– Due to the nature of our tours, masks will be REQUIRED in the elevator and during tours of the capsule.
– There will be a 6 person limit on all tours to the capsule.
– We are asking visitors to maintain 6 feet of social distancing when able.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for military, $2 for kids ages 12-17, and the kids under 11 are free.
